Prices & Conditions
Pierhead Gates offer a selection of maintenance services to meet your requirements. Prices vary according to the distance from our workshop and the amount of cover you require. See below for areas and prices, if your area is not listed we will prepare a quotation for you.
We will always try to be on site within 48 hours. When we are on site if it is not possible to repair the fault immediately we will quote for extra work and parts required.
Please make sure that you know how to operate the manual release system for use. In and emergency keep the manual key in a safe place.

EMERGENCY CALL–OUT CHARGES
AREA 1 - £100 includes call-out charge and up to 1 hour on site, then £30 for each additional hour
AREA 2 - £140 includes call-out charge and up to 1 hour on site, then £30 for each additional hour
N.B. – Someone must always be present when our engineer calls
STANDARD SERVICE COSTS
AREA 1 £125 AREA 2 £180
This includes:
- Checking the whole automation system and adjusting where necessary
- Lubricating the system where required
- Topping up oil levels
- Lubricating the gate hinges
- Touching up minor blemishes to the paintwork for gates which have been installed by ourselves
- Checking batteries
- Test and adjust intercom/video where applicable
- Discussing any problems with clients
Annual Service Contracts
Automated gates have electrical and mechanical parts and will require servicing. A service is usually a yearly visit in domestic situations but may be required more often where there is heavy usage, such as a shared entrance or industrial site.

One visit per year - £120
Two visits per year - £220

MAINTENANCE CONTRACTS
Maintenance contracts include a minimum of one service per year, plus the added advantage of up to four call-outs per year which can be made without any extra charges for labour. Any parts used will be charged at list price if they are not covered by the warranty.
N.B. If we are called out and no fault is found with our equipment, a charge may be made.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS
- Payments are due in advance unless you have a credit account with us
Someone must always be available when our engineer arrives on site, so we can gain access or obtain permission to fit replacement parts. Your absence will lead to extra costs for wasted journeys.
- All parts used will be charged for at list price, unless covered by the guarantee.
- Any call-outs where no fault is found, where the fault is due to misuse or anything other than faulty equipment or installation, will be charged at the Emergency Call-out Rate even if still under guarantee.
ANY UNAUTHORIZED PERSON CARRYING OUT WORK ON OUR INSTALLATIONS COULD COMPROMISE SAFETY AND WILL INVALIDATE ANY GUARANTEE. |
